CROWD proudly announces the acquisition of Armada Mobility BV

Since the inception in 2014, Creators of the Outside World (CROWD) has been driven by a commitment to transform outdoor public spaces. From our earliest days, we have sought to inspire people to embrace the outdoors, establishing ourselves as the leading provider of street furniture, public shelters, and bicycle parking infrastructure across Western Europe.

Today, we are excited to announce another significant milestone in our journey. CROWD has successfully acquired Armada Mobility BV in the Netherlands. This strategic acquisition reinforces our dedication to enhancing urban living environments and underscores our position as a leader in innovative solutions for public spaces.

Armada Mobility is a visionary provider of solutions for public spaces, public transport, and rail transport. Its diverse product portfolio includes travel information systems, multifunctional shelters, bicycle storage solutions, station wayfinding, and other street furniture, with a particular emphasis on station-based furniture designed to enhance the passenger experience. Beyond these products, Armada Mobility is also dedicated to the development of smart city solutions that contribute to a sustainable, livable urban future. The company distinguishes itself by providing comprehensive service and maintenance for all of its products, ensuring that customers receive a complete one-stop-shop experience. Armada Mobility’s offerings go beyond product delivery to include long-term support, helping cities and transportation networks maintain and optimize their infrastructure for sustainable,
efficient urban mobility.

To realize their goal of smart and sustainable urban areas, Armada Mobility focuses on efficient waste collection while minimizing carbon emissions through advanced waste management systems. In addition to these efforts, the company is deeply committed to integrating renewable energy sources and adopting energy-efficient technologies throughout its production processes. Through these approaches, Armada Mobility is dedicated to building smart, sustainable, and efficient urban environments that enhance the quality of life for all city residents.

“The Acquisition of Armada Mobility re-states CROWD’s commitment not only to the facilitation of sustainable mobility and flow of the public space, but also to the maintenance of the infrastructure provided, which in turn enhances our circularity offerings. Myself and all at CROWD are very excited to start working with Jan-Willem and his management team to ensure a smooth and effective integration into CROWD, ensuring a bright future for all!”, said James Steward, CEO of CROWD Group.

Their vision is fully shared by Jan-Willem de Bie, CEO of Armada Mobility: “I am delighted that Armada Mobility is now part of Crowd, an organisation that, like us, is fully focused on innovation and sustainable mobility. Our shared ambitions for growth, circularity and delivering future-proof solutions provide a strong foundation for this collaboration. I look forward to working with the Crowd team to continue building mobility that is ready for tomorrow's challenges.”
